We are a brand-new veterinary hospital that serves Canberra and surrounding areas. We offer clients an extensive range of services including orthopaedic and soft tissue surgeries as well as emergency services.
This will be an exciting opportunity for the right person to help build up a veterinary practice that offers outstanding client and patient care.
We are a purpose built 100% small animal hospital. The hospital has brand new state of the art equipment including digital x-ray, iM3 dental machine, ultrasound, patient monitoring machines, ventilator and the latest in house complete IDEXX pathology system.
We are open seven days a week
- Monday to Friday 7am – 7pm
- Saturday and Sunday 8am – 1pm
The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic person with a “can do” attitude who will be extensively supported in their role at the hospital. They will be part of the Day Clinic (7am – 7pm) in the hospital and will be responsible for consulting, treatment and regular surgeries. They will also have the opportunity to work alongside an experienced veterinary surgeon and gain valuable skills in furthering orthopaedic and soft tissue surgical practices. If you are interested in imaging, you will be taught radiography, ultrasonography and echocardiography.
If you are applying for a casual / part time position, we will need you for at least two weekdays and one weekend in a month.
Who We Need
We welcome new graduate and experienced vets to apply. If you are a new graduate, we will support and mentor you on a daily basis. We will make sure you learn the newest and latest skills and techniques whilst working in this practice. If you are an experienced vet, we will value your expertise with a competitive and generous remuneration package.
We also require a person that provides a high standard of patient care and client relations. This means the ability to work collaboratively with colleagues, establish positive relationships with clients and be committed to ongoing self-education. Sole charge of the practice will be required on occasion.
- A full-time salary of up to $100k per annum is on offer for the right applicant.
- Package includes a minimum of 4 weeks’ annual leave and 1-week study leave.
